Trick Eye Museum @ Hongdae,Seoul

Hello Everybody!

So this week's #wowkoreasupporters mission is to plan a one day trip in Korea by any forms of transportation! There are so many places to go in Seoul, what's more Korea as a whole. But, to join in the hype of the newly opened Trick Eye Museum in Singapore, I shall post about the one in Seoul in my recent visit! I believe Trick Eye is one of the must-sees when you visit Korea. If you ever visit Seoul, you should probably spare at least half a day here!

If you had read my previous blog post on Traditional Hanbok Experience, I had recently visited Trick Eye Museum in Hongdae, Seoul. Ever since the recent opening of Trick Eye Museum in Singapore, I had seen so many trick eye art pieces popping up on my Instagram, as well as, Facebook. To my pleasant surprise, there are quite a few similar pieces of art work that I had seen. Let me show you the photos as follow and for you all who have visited TEM in Singapore, you'd know what I mean :)

 Yumi in the Aquarium world!

Yumi the Astronaut!

Ballerina...not? Haha

First 'Camel-riding'!

Hi, would you like to have a beer?

Salsa time!

Yumi meditating

Help! It's flooding!

The Giant and Dwarf!

Hot Air Balloon Ride!

Magic Carpet!

Romantic Moonlight!

Olympics Aqua Acrobatic!

This lil girl is as cute as puss in the boots!

Angels~

Flying on Broom Stick!

Spiderman in town!

Trappppped!

Shark attack!

There are so many more photos but I am (pure) lazy to upload them all. And as you would have spotted, there are couple of similar art pieces such as the last photo on the shark attack, the dinosaur with the trapped person, the flying broomstick, the angel wings, puss in the boots, the Olympics aqua acrobatics, the giant and the dwarf!

From my understanding, the trick eye museum changes its art pieces every few months. I've been to Trick Eye Museum in 2011 and it is definitely different from the one I'd been to just recently! Also, since the Trick Eye Museum in Singapore is based off South Korea's, I guess that is the reason why there are similar art pieces :) For more information on Trick Eye Museum in Singapore, you may refer here for more information!

Alongside with the entrance fee to the Trick Eye Museum, there is also a free entrance to the mini Ice Museum. Because it's freezing cold (and we are wearing summer clothing...), we did not stay long. Plus, the lighting was pretty bad and all the photos were dark since we are "back-facing" the lights. In any case, here's a sneak peak of the Ice Museum:
