Traveling with Korea Rail (KR) Pass

I'm on fire in updating my blogposts, am I? Hahaha. Anyways, it's Monday today which means a brand new week of #wowkoreasupporters mission again! This week's mission is to introduce a super money saver tip for foreigners traveling in South Korea. I am sure many of you would have heard of JR pass for Japan or Euro Pass for European countries. And yes, Korea ain't losing out either because they have their very own Korea Rail Pass, aka KR Pass! :)
This is something I totally regret not finding out earlier when my sister just came to visit me. I hope she does't screw me when she reads this post, hahah. If you are reading this sis, I am so sorry!! *cries* Nonetheless, KR Pass is a train pass that allows foreigners visiting or residing in Korea to have unlimited train rides on KORAIL trains up to ten days (depending on the kind of pass you chose). NO LIMITS on the number of times you travel within the day pass period you chose, and NO LIMITS on travel area! How awesome is that!
Let me just jump straight into how you can go about reserving your KR Pass!
Step 1
Go to http://www.letskorail.com/ebizbf/EbizBfIndex_eng.do

You would be brought into this page and key in the information as follows:

And this important notice will pop up. Take note and click "OK"
Scroll down and you can confirm your personal information. After doing so, click PAYMENT.
Key in first two digits of your Korean Credit Card PIN number and last 7 digits of your ARC Registration number.
Viola! Your cancellation is complete :)
- One child under age 4 may travel for free with each fare-paying chaperone aged over 12.
Children aged 4 to 12 are charged 50% of the adult fare. - Normal Pass: for adults and children
- Saver Pass: for groups of 2 to 5 people traveling on the same itinerary
- Youth Pass: for youths aged 13 to 25 or anyone holding an International Student Identification Card (ISIC)
- The KR Pass is available only to non-Koreans. All Korean nationals are ineligible except those holding a PR passport or permanent residence status in a foreign country.
- Foreigners staying in Korea for six months or more are ineligible for the pass. (Such foreigners may use the Happy Rail Pass.)
- Seats may not be available during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays, summer vacation season, and year-end and New Year holidays. (Standing tickets are available.)
- To redeem a voucher, a valid passport is required for identification.
- To purchase a voucher for a KR Pass at a KORAIL Travel Center, a valid passport and credit card are required for identification and payment.
- Once the pass issued, it is non-refundable and the travel date or pass type cannot be changed.
- No compensation for train delays or cancellations will be provided.
